Linda Mudd passed suddenly and unexpectedly on February 18th, 2019, just six days shy of her 73rd birthday. In her passing, Linda leaves her son Brian, daughter-in-law Marie and her four grandchildren, her pride and joy--Claire, Brian Jr., Elise and Michael. She also leaves her sisters Brenda Licausi, Diane Hoover, Gayle Krisingha and her brother David Hoover. Linda is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends that loved her as if she were family. Linda retired from the Federal Government where she worked in records management and was a part of numerous task forces. She was very proud of her career there. Linda was also devoted to the Ladies Auxiliaries at local and county levels, even serving as the President of Prince George's County Ladies Auxiliary. One of the highlights of her year was going to the County Fire Convention. Linda was an avid crafter and loved teaching her grandchildren about cross-stitch and plastic canvas. Linda was also a competitive bowler, a member of bowling leagues, a bartender at Crofton Bowling Center and even participated in national tournaments around the country. Linda also loved to cook and enjoyed providing meals and treats for friends and loved ones. Many of her wonderful recipes were coveted and requested by friends and family. Her many delicious dishes and desserts will be remembered by so many. Linda is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Maxine Hoover, her sisters Donna Groomes, Barbara Floyd, Carol Holtzclaw, and by her brother James (Buddy) Hoover. Linda will be deeply missed by her family and her friends who loved her very much. Services for Linda will be held at Lee's Funeral Home in Clinton, Maryland on March 8th from 5 to 8 PM with a memorial service at 7 PM.
