It was on September 4, 2018, Lonny Peeples completed his mission here on earth and transitioned into eternal life. If you knew Lonny, you would never forget him. Charisma and charm were attributes bestowed upon Lonny Peeples. With an infectious personality, he knew no strangers, it is still difficult to view him as anything but alive. Born in Washington, DC to Helen Sawtell and Raymond Peeples, Lonny was one of three children. He grew up in the District of Columbia area. His parents divorced and his mother remarried when Lonny was still young. His step-father, Robert Fleshman became a constant in his life. Growing up, Lonny was comfortable working on a farm where he was always involved with animals and became particularly fond of horses. During his adolescent and teen years, Lonny was one of a kind; never at a loss for words, and was filled with wonderfully crazy thoughts and behavior. For him, employing these characteristics was second nature-he did it without even trying. Making friends was easy. Many of those friends have journeyed with him throughout his entire lifetime. Lonny eventually became a Pile Driver, which became his life’s work. He enjoyed the outdoors so this fit him perfectly. He was a member of Pile Driver’s Local 2311 Union. This is just a snapshot of Lonny’s life; ambitious, full of life and love. All who knew him, would describe him as caring and giving. His philosophy was always that life was simply too short, so he lived life full speed. It should be comforting to know that he has reunited with family and friends who have gone before him. Music, laughter and love is guaranteed and he will have a cold Bud in his hand. He will be missed. Lonny is survived by his mother, Helen Fleshman of Calabash, NC and his father, Raymond Peeples of Waysons Corner, MD; his wife Linda Peeples of Waldorf, MD; his son, Justin Peeples of Waldorf, MD, daughter Tabitha Dwyer (Patrick) of Westminster, MD; son Casey Peeples of Washington State and daughter, Chelsea Peeples Brewer (John) of Michigan; brother Roger Peeples (Nancy) of San Diego, CA and sisters Jenny Williamson (Daniel) of Waldorf, MD and half-Sister Sherri Peeples Schossler of Waysons Corner, MD; his grandsons Patrick and Dalton Dwyer of Westminster, MD. Also survived by many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his step-father, the late Robert Fleshman.
