Loraine Jennifer Hendricks

Loraine Jennifer Hendricks, 62, passed away on Tuesday, July 14th. Born June 20, 1958 in Georgetown, Guyana, she was the daughter of Mavis Bernard and Godfrey Kellman. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald Allan Hendricks; 3 children: Denise ( Dwain) Linton , Dacia (Timothy) Harris, Dexter Hendricks; her grandchildren: Darren Linton, Dana Linton, Alana Harris, Tripp Harris; her parents; her siblings: Godfrey Kellman Jr., Jacqueline McKinnon, Deborah White, Marcia Allicock. Loraine was a devoted wife and mother. Loraine grew up in Bartica and attended St Anthony Catholic School, and Bartica Secondary Schoool she later obtained her teaching certificate from Cyril Potter College of Education and graduated with honors from The University of Guyana. Loraine had a long teaching career starting in Bartica (St John the Baptice Primary), Georgetown ( St Ambrose Primary, Commenius Primary & Smiths Morial Primary schools) and ended at Bright Horizon in Washington DC. During her 40 plus years of teaching, she left a legacy of excellence and inspiration. She enjoyed reading novels and entertaining her grand-kids.
