Loren Elroy Koppen

Loren E. (Moe) Koppen, 90, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021 at home in Prince Frederick, MD. He was born on November 14, 1931 to the late Charles M. and Ruth B. (Green) Koppen. Loren served in the United States Navy for 8 years, then went on to the Naval Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Suitland, MD. He then retired to open his own business TV Sales/Repairs. Loren loved the Lord. He will always be remembered for his love of family, his gift of gab and his love of small children. Loren is predeceased by his parents and brother, Charles E. Koppen. He is survived by his five children, Ron Spaulding, Sharron L. Krouse, Lori L. Polk, Doug Marceron and Susan Owens. Six grandchildren and Fifteen great- grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 10:00 am -12:00 pm where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD 20722. Due to the uptick in Covid we will be streaming the Funeral Service for those who are social distancing.
