Lorna Jessie Purvis

January 30, 1934 – January 24, 2021 Lorna Jessie Purvis, age 86, resident of Chesapeake Beach, MD, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 24, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, George N. Purvis, Jr.; brothers, Nic and Roy Cass; one sister, Iris Mason from England; and grandchildren, Alyson and Ryan Purvis (Chesapeake Beach, MD). She was a loving mother and survived by sons, Donald (Ann) of Niceville, FL and Robert (Sue) Purvis of Chesapeake Beach, MD; “Nanny” to Matthew (Kristi) and Kyle Purvis of Destin, FL and Niceville, FL, and Emma Purvis of Chesapeake Beach, MD; “GG Nanny” to Grayson and Kinleigh Purvis of Destin, FL; and nieces and nephews in Great Britain. A Visitation will be held at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736, on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 1:00 pm until start of Funeral Services at 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Life and final interment will be held in the summer, details to be determined.
