Lydia Sue Sattler

Lydia S. Sattler, age 78, went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2014 at Bradford Oaks Center. Born August 21, 1935 in Gretna, VA, she was the daughter of the late Haile and Thelma Motley. Lydia worked as a music and piano teacher. She was a parishioner of Bethany Christian Church for 15 years and was very active in bible study. She also enjoyed gardening.Lydia was preceded in death by her loving husband Francis Sattler and her sister Mary Lou Wilson. She is survived by her daughter Faith (Mike) Antonioni; brothers-in-law Tom Wilson, Jim (Mary) Sattler, Franklin (Barbara) Sattler; nephews Tom, Haile, John; nieces Jill, Amy and Julie.Family and friends will be received at Lee Funeral Home, Inc. Branch Ave. and Coventry Way on Wednesday, May 28 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Bethany Christian Church 7128 Allentown Rd. Ft. Washington, MD on Thursday, May 29 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow Resurrection Cemetery Clinton, MD.Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Bethany Christian Church or The American Cancer Society.
