Coates, age 93, of Hebron, Maryland, former resident of the Gull Creek Retirement Home and Lutheran Village at Harbour Point, died August 16, 2001 at the Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, Maryland. Beloved wife of the late Robert D. Coates, Sr. and loving mother of Bernie Scott, Peggy, William and Thomas Coates, Frances Reigle and the late Florence Crosby, Charles Coates and Robert Coates. Sister of the late Ruth Nairn. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
