After a lengthy illness, went to be with his heavenly father early on the morning of May 4th. He was born May 4, 1933 in Choctaw County, Alabama the son of Jimmie M. and Caroline (Williams) Brown. He is survived by his loving wife: Dorothy; three daughters: Ms. Karmen Brown of Clinton, MD, Ms. Jaclyn Brown of Fairfax, VA, and Mrs. Joyce (Daniel) Irving of Sacramento, CA; one brother: Mr. John (Linda) Brown of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Mr. Jimmy Brown Jr, and a spouse: Mrs. Cora Brown. Major Lee served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 1978. He received a Master’s of Science in Public Administration from American University in 1981. Major Lee was a computer programmer. He retired from the Federal Government in 1997, after working for multiple Federal agencies: Selective Service System, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Treasury and Department of Veterans Affairs. He also taught programming classes for Computer Learning Center in Springfield, VA and University of Maryland University College in College Park, MD. The Brown Family would like to extend their gratitude and thankfulness to the doctors and nurses of the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD for their dedicated care during Major Lee’s illness. Friends may call Thursday, May 19th from 3pm until the memorial service at 4pm at the Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, MD.
