Mamie Victoria “Granny” Wallace was born on May 1, 1923 to the late Allie Pratt Tayman and the late Edith C. Rawlings Tayman of Ritchie Maryland. She had 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Mamie attended Ritchie Elementary School and Upper Marlboro High School. She was a secretary for the Army Times, ColorTone Press,Waitress’s Union and the Gas workers Union. Mamie had many loves in life..family, home, bingo, gardening, slots, NASCAR, Redskins, baseball and making Shrimp Salad for the family. Memories, love and laughter were shared through the years as the family gathered for special occasions. Great grandchildren would spend weekends reading, doing puzzles, playing checkers and just cuddling with her. In 1946 she married the love of her life Clifford H. Wallace, Sr. who preceded her in death. Together they had one child Creva Ann. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers Roy, Allie, Wilson and Charlie Tayman, her sisters, Edith Carter, Mildred Garner and son in law Wayne Carlton Nemith, Sr. She is survived by her daughter Creva Ann Nemith, granddaughters Denise M. and her husband Richard Lehosky, Carrie A. and her husband Steven Piper, great Grandchildren Alexandra L. Lehosky, Ashley A. Piper, Bryan R. Lehosky, Lauren E. Piper and her sister Julia Edelen. Those wishing to do so may make a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association 1850 York Rd. Ste.
