Margaret V. Brown

February 23, 1919 — August 11, 2009

MARGARET VIRGINIA BROWN\nDeparted this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the age of 90 in her home in Dunkirk, MD. She was the beloved wife of the late William C. Brown and loving mother of Richard "Dick" Kershaw and daughter-in-law, Mary A. Kershaw. She shared a mother-like bond with Kathy Keely, her husband Michael and their son, Nicholas. Kathy was like a daughter to Margaret. She was the grandmother, room mate and loving companion of her grandson; Matthew W. Kershaw. They were like the odd couple; one was neat and the other was not so neat. She was blessed with a very special friend; Sharon Gaines whose friendship became like family. She was a member of All Saint''s Episcopal Church in Sunderland, MD. Margaret loved Maryland Blue crabs, a glass of wine, good conversation and relaxing on the beach. She was loved by many and touched many hearts during her lifetime. Also left to cherish her memory are her two other grandchildren; Diane M. Spriggs "Caroll" and Richard F. Kershaw and four great-grandchildren. Family will receive visitors at the LEE FUNERAL HOME Calvert, PA. 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd. (Rt. 4 and Fowler Road) on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, 10 a.m. at the All Saint Episcopal Church, 100 Lower Marlboro Road , Huntingtown, Maryland 20639.
