Cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Margaret Genevieve Green, 97, of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, passed away on April 9, 2022, in Prince Frederick, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late French Gallahan and the late May Gallahan, and grew up in Mt. Rainier, Maryland.
Margaret worked as a secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Dennison Corporation, and Prince Georges County Schools.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Harold H. Green.
She is survived by son Dr. Richard Green and daughter-in-law Jane Green of Denver, Colorado; daughter Gail Million and son-in-law Donald Million of Wesley Chapel, Florida; daughter Linda Rupard and son-in-law Edward Rupard, of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland; grandchildren Laura Blackwelder and husband Matt, Andrea Thomas, Karen Wood and husband Christian, Dr. Todd Green, Carolyn Million; and great-grandchildren Sidra, Nathan, Eric, and Zachary Blackwelder, Shane Thomas, and Caden and Quinn Wood.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Calvert Health Medical Center in Prince Frederick, Maryland, or St. Jude's Hospital.
A private funeral is being held at Lee Funeral Home in Owings, Maryland.
