Margaret "Margie" Virginia Herbert

Margaret “Margie” Virginia Herbert, 93, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022. Born on October 16, 1928 in Seat Pleasant, MD she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Frances A. (Doyle) Herbert. Margie was a very loveable and happy person. She was a fantastic operating room nurse at Georgetown University Hospital where she worked for many years, retiring in 1990. Margie was a child of God and will be remembered for her beautiful personality and her big heart and smile. Margie is survived by many friends, all of whom she treated like family. She was preceded in death by her companion, Bob Mulvey in 2014 and her brother Joe William Herbert in 2016. The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, MD 20746. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
