Marie L. Kenney

On Saturday, January 11, 2020, Marie Lorraine Kenney, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed away at the age of 88. Marie was born on June 23, 1931, in Washington, DC to Richard and Marie Jimney. She was retired from the P.G. County Police Department where she worked as an Administrative Aide. She raised four children, Christine (Terry), Charles, David, and Marie Ellen. She had six grandchildren, Bonnie, Jason, Stacia, Susan, David, and Allison (Stephen). She also had seven great grandchildren, Alexandra, Julia, Amelia, Lillianna, Ava, Richard, and Joel. Marie believed in God and was a kind, caring, thoughtful, extremely strong-willed, independent woman. She enjoyed spending time in the backyard gardening and watching the birds. She also loved to shop. Marie collected tea pots and anything that contained frog designs. She was a wonderful cook and a best friend. Everyone that met her fell in love with her sweet smile. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Lee’s Funeral Home in Clinton, MD. Family will receive friends starting at 12:00 P.M. for a 1 hour visitation.
