Marie Louise Moore

On November 30, 2022, Marie Louise Moore peacefully passed away after 96 years on this Earth. She began her long life in France, born to Louis and Alexandrine Philippon. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 and fell in love with Jesse Lee Moore as soon as she met him. Together their love blossomed into their three children and a wonderful life. In 1992, she lost her beloved husband, Jesse. Marie wore many hats throughout her life, like fine dining server, cook, and gardener, but it was homemaker that she loved the most. Her family meant the world to her and she was their original farm to table chef. She could create the most delicious meals from what she had on hand. She was extremely proud to have become an American citizen on February 4, 1994. Aside from husband, she, she was also predeceased by a son, Christian Philippaon. Her legacy will be carried on by her children, Patrick Smalling of Churchton, MD, Robin Mangold and her husband, Greg of Oakland, MD, and Richard Moore and his wife, Laura of High Point, NC; aunt of Pascaline and Carl Golie of Owings, MD; great aunt of Lea and Bryan Sloughenhoupt of Deale, MD, and Carl Golie Jr., of Owings, MD; great great aunt of Emma and Sophie; grandchildren, Matthew Smalling of Burlington, NC, Steven Smalling and his wife, Tammi of LaPlata, MD, Jesse Smalling of Annapolis, MD, Richard Grow of Las Vegas, NV, and Dana Rae Mangold of Riverview, FL; Candace Smith and husband , Jeff of High Point, NC and Stephanie Allred and husband,Matt of High Point, NC; bonus grandchildren, Kendall Wilson and her husband, Ethan of Bossier City, LA and Andrew Edge of Charleston, SC; and great grandmother of Khloe, Jude, Kinley, Kate, Isaac, Nolan, Mason, Braden, Mather, and Ava.
