Marie Murray

Marie Murray peacefully boarded her last 1st Class one-way flight from this life the morning of July 12th after a gradual decline in
health.

She was surrounded by and supported by her family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Marie, affectionally known as “Pinky”, was born on November 13, 1938 and reared in Washington DC. She was a graduate of Howard University and earned several masters degrees while in Germany and a Doctorate while in London. Marie had a passion for dancing, history, art and music. She was fluent in several languages. Marie eventually retired after serving over 30 years in the Federal Government. Marie is survived by five cousins: Carlo, Ricky, Larry, Kay, Penny (Cedric), and lifelong friend Mercedes Miranda of New York.

A graveside service will be held 12:30pm Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601.
