Marie Whitt

Marie Agnes Whitt, 97, returned to her heavenly home on June 6th, 2019. Her undying devotion to her family and friends, along with her firm belief in God supported and comforted her during her struggle and ultimately gave her everlasting peace. Marie was born in Washington, D.C. on December 9, 1921 and was blessed with a loving family. She had a heart of gold; family and friends were her passion and delight. She was extremely social and always enjoyed a friendly card competition. She loved to draw and dance, but most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie is survived by her son-in-law, Steve; her daughter-in-law, Lisa; her granddaughters Gina, Kristi and Amber; her adoring great-grandchildren Shayla, Alyssa, Marissa, Ezra, Addison and Avery. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Gail and her son, Ronnie. Marie also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Marie will have a life celebration at 11:00 on 19 June 2019 at Lee’s Funeral Home in Clinton, Maryland with a burial service following the life celebration at St. Mary's, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 2121 Lincoln Road Washington, D.C. 20002. The family gratefully accepts donations in Marie’s memory to St. Charles County Hospice where she spent her last days.
