Marjorie Claire Meader

Marjorie Claire Meader, age 88, of Port Republic, Maryland, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 20, 1923, in Genesco, IL to the late Philip and Mabel Montgomery.\nShe was the beloved wife of Merten Meader for 66 years. She was the loving mother of Mark Meader; Beth Meader and her husband, Eric Darden; and Guy Meader and his wife, Deborah. She was the devoted grandmother of Jessica, Catherine, Anna, Ethan and Isabelle.\nMarjorie worked and retired from the Prince Georges County School System and lived the last 21 years in Port Republic. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Sunderland, Maryland.\nAfter retiring, Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family and the various hobbies, which included: crossword puzzles, reading, genealogy, gardening and flower arranging.\nA Memorial Service with be held on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 3:00 pm, at the First Lutheran Church, 6300 Southern Maryland Boulevard, Huntingtown, MD 20639.
