Marjorie Bowen Taylor, a longtime resident of the Mechanicsville area, passed away at John Hopkins Hospital on November 21, 2016. Born in 1942 to Charles and Eleanor Bowen. Marge graduated from High Point High School and grew up in Greenbelt, MD. She worked at W.L. Gary Company for 26 years and then retired. During that time she meet her sweetheart Bryan Smith and they dated for 25 years. Marge loved gardening, cooking, crocheting, eating crabs, bingo, ceramics, and jitter bug/hand dancing, spending time with family and socializing with her friends. She loved people and made them feel like family from the first time they met. She had a huge heart and put everyone’s needs before hers. She was a very special lady and touched everyone that was in her life in a positive way. She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Dicken, Darlene Stone and Kim Clawson. Along with eight grandchildren Mitchell Dicken, Katelyn Cox, Jacklyn Wolfe, Kelly Dicken, Lauren Clawson, Ashley Clawson, Robbie Stone and Christyn Stone and two great-grandchildren Baylee Hill and Lucas Dicken, who brought great joy to her life.
