She was married to Joseph B. Ward. She worked as a code specialist at the United States Census Bureau for 34 years retiring in 2004. She enjoyed traveling, playing the slots, crafts, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, two children, Bob Minteer (Kathy) and JoAnn Nutter (George), six grandchildren, Sandra, Rachel, Sarah, Hannah, George, and Jessica, two great grandchildren, Lynette and Gabriel, along with her BFF, Mary Ann Scaggs.
