How to write a check to Gift Funds/Donations for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center All donation checks written to WRNMMC will be used for the Wounded Warriors via several programs available at the hospital. We can only deposit checks that are written/issued (Pay to the Order of) to: 1. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center 2. WRNMMC Unfortunately, other than the above two specific names to the Pay to Field, we are unable to make a check deposit. Examples of what NOT to do would be Wounded Warrior Project or Wounded Warrior Funds or ___________ Memorial. Specific reference can be added in the Note/Memo field of the check or in the Letter of Intent. The Letter of Intent The letter of intent is a memo from donor specifying that the fund is for General Use for the wounded patients at Walter Reed. Receiving department can be added in this letter as well as a memo that the donation is in memory of Mary Ann Cooke.
