Mary Lou Idol-Lee

Mary Lou Idol-Lee1939 - 2013Mary Lou Idol-Lee left our world, but not our hearts, on October 14, 2013, following a stoic battle with lung cancer. She was born August 28, 1939 in Washington, DC and had resided in Clinton, MD for more than fifty years.Mary Lou worked in area hospitals in Support Services for many years and retired from Fort Washington Hospital as Director of Procurement in 2009. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Unity Chapter #112 for thirty-five years.She leaves behind her son Scott Idol; daughter, Kelly Idol and son-in-law, Alan Green as well as a multitude of extended family members who have loved her dearly.Mary Lou will be especially missed by her dog, Ruby, in addition to her other loving animals. She was known by all for her kind heart that allowed her to rescue countless creatures, nurse them to health and either return them back to nature or give them a home forever with her. Her mission while enjoying retirement has been rescuing feral cats.Special thanks go to Dr. Aradom Debretsion and his staff at Clinton Veterinary Hospital who have gone above and beyond to provide family support and services over the years but especially during recent months.
