Mary Louise Hill Meredith

Mary "Meri" Louise Meredith, 72, of Columbus, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at her home. Meri was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She attended Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, graduated from George Washington University in 1967, with a degree in French Studies, and received her Master's Degree in Library Science from Indiana University in 1980. She was employed at Cummins Engine Company from 1981 to 1988 and Ohio State University from 1992 to 2009. She had been involved in the Catholic and Episcopal communities for over 50 years. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery in Upper Marlboro, MD. Born in Riverside, California, May 30, 1943, Meri was the daughter of William Beans Hill Sr. and Mary Louise Zantzinger Hill. Survivors include her children, William "W.R." (Tracy) Meredith of Apex, North Carolina, and Shelley Meredith of Bellingham, Washington; grandchildren, Ella Rae, Emory Kate, Addison Marie and William "Liam" Michael Meredith; and her brother, Otway B. Hill of Cheverly, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents and older brother William B.
