Mary Elizabeth Roth

Mary E. Roth, 72, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023.  Mary was born December 24, 1950, in Ashville, NC to the late Edgar and Dorothy (Billings) Leapley.  Mary was the youngest of 5 children, 3 brothers preceded her in death Edgar Leapley IV, Robert Leapley and Richard Leapley.

She married Thomas Roth August 11, 1973, Tom preceded her in death in 2020. 

For many years Mary worked for the U.S. Census bureau as an HR Manager.  Mary loved her job and loved helping people and made many life-long friends.  Once she retired, she kept busy by working at Curves and then Target but her favorite post-retirement job was babysitting her two grandchildren.  Mary is loved by her entire family and friends new and old; her caring nature and her inviting personality made it easy to love her.  Mary never missed an opportunity to brag on her family, whether it was her son, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews or friends she was so proud of everyone's accomplishments.  She never missed anyone's special achievement or event, if she wasn’t there in person, she made sure to make a phone call or send a card to show her love. 

She loved the beach and the yearly Myrtle Beach family vacations which began with her mother over 50 years ago.

Mary is survived by her son T.J. (Stephanie) Roth, her two grandchildren Chaysen and Piper, her brother Mike (Judy) Leapley and many nieces and nephews.  All of which she loved deeply and has forever left beautiful memories.
