Maureen “MeeMaw” Vermillion went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2021. Maureen was born on June 26, 1945 to the late Edward and Estelle Glaze. Maureen was the beloved wife of Christopher Vermillion and together they were longtime residents of Chesapeake Beach, MD. Maureen worked for 20 years as a waitress at Traders Restaurant, where she was affectionately known as “MeeMaw” by her loving coworkers and customers. During her free time, Maureen loved to hang out with her family and friends. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate soul who was always willing to offer help to those in need. Maureen was a huge animal lover and had three special animals in her life. Her beloved dogs Taylor, Little man and Foxy. Maureen is survived by her loving husband Christopher Vermillion; her children, Edward Knudsen, Laurie Hardesty (Gene), Richard Vermillion (Marina), Martin Vermillion (Betty Jo); her grandchildren, Eddie, Matt, Michael, Gene Jr., Donnie, Tiffany, Ricky, Matvey, Joshua, Jake, Nick, and Nate; 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and her sisters Linda Merryfield and Pamela Funk of Washington State. Maureen is predeceased by her parents Edward and Estelle Glaze; her son Donald Knudsen; grandchild Eddie Knudsen Jr; and her brother James Glaze. Due to Covid-19 a celebration of life for Maureen will take place at a later date per the family’s request.
