On September 2, 2023, Maxine Faye Armiger quietly passed away. She was born in Washington DC on March 5th to Roland and Pearl Tucker. Maxine was the youngest of three daughters who were raised in Edgewater before moving to Calvert County. After high school, she worked for her family’s dry cleaning business before she made a career of cleaning houses. In 1997 at the Hotel Charles, she met the man she would spend her life with, Joseph Leroy Cargill. After just a few dates, they were in love. Together they moved to Lothian in 2004, where they remained until her passing. In their spare time, they enjoyed just being together. Occasionally, they would take drives to have a change of scenery. To say she’ll be missed is a large understatement. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Claudia. Maxine leaves behind the love of her life, Joseph Leroy Cargill; sister, Bonnie Bolin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.
