Melvin Edra Meadows, age 71, of Franklinton, NC passed away suddenly on Saturday May 21, 2011. Born in Coolridge, West Virginia he was the beloved son of the late Edra Meadows and of the late Mary Margaret Meadows (Akers), beloved father of Deborah A. Wells of Prince Frederick, MD, Mary S. Meadows of Wake Forest, NC, Frances A. Smith of Owings, MD and Edra Meadows of Franklinton, NC; beloved brother of the late Junior Dale Meadows, beloved brother of Mildred Robinson (Meadows)of Front Royal, VA, beloved brother of Lowell Wayne Meadows of Roanoke, VA, Father-in-Law to Merrill Wells, James Fronck and Teddy Smith. Beloved Grandfather of Monk Wells, Christina Perdue, Teddy Smith, II, Brittany Wells, Amanda Smith, Mark Smith, Jordan Fronck, Savannah Bowen, Cameron Fronck and Dallas Meadows. Beloved Great Grandfather to Melanie Dawson, Mason Wells, Shawn Dawson, Baby Sweet and Baby Everleigh Ann Wells.\nVisitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 Friday at 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Lee Funeral Home - Calvert, in Owings Maryland. The Funeral Service will be at Lee Funeral Home – Calvert at 1:00 pm.
