Eugenia Marie Sackett, more affectionately known as Mia, was born to Beatrice and James Sackett in |London, England. She suddenly passed away on August 9, 2016 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She is survived by her son, Peter, oldest brother and sister-in-law James and Paula Sackett of Wellington, FL, brother and sister-in-law- Fred and Paula Sackett of Waldorf, MD sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Robert Hannigan, Sr. of Harrisburg, PA, youngest brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Kelly Sackett of Fairfax, VA, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her brother, Michael Sackett predeceased her. She was a dedicated civilian employee of the Department of the Army at the Pentagon for 41 years. Everyone knows that she was fun to be around and wasn’t afraid of speaking her mind. Remember my Mom, Mia, in your hearts, souls, lives and actions. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
