Michael George Brown passed away on January 13, 2022 at Southern Maryland Medstar Hospital after battling a short illness. Michael was born December 5, 1953 in Fayetteville, West Virginia. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1972. After serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, he worked for the General Services Administration in Washington, DC for 32 years, retiring in 2009 in the role of Supervisory Program Analyst. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Frances Brown; his sister, Danielle Brown; and his life partner of 40 years, Ralph K. Phillips. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Brown and Kay Calloway; his brothers, Samuel Brown Jr., William Brown, and John Brown; his nephews, Terrance Brown, Tommy Wayne Brown, Jimmy Calloway, Justin Brown, William Brown, Jr., Joseph Bramar, Justin Ross, Aaron Wilson, and Paul West; his nieces, Anelia Merritt, Carmella Bryant, Yolanda Calloway, Alexis Swain, Tiana Johnson, Shanelia Johnson, Brittany Braman, Jessica Ross, Suzanne Brown, Josephine Brown, Tomiko West, Joanne Jackson, and a host of cousins.
