Michael Peter Mitchell

Michael Peter Mitchell born on April 20, 1954 in Washington DC, he was the eldest of four children born to Geraldine Theresa Mitchell and the late Richard Anthony Mitchell, Sr. Michael peacefully received a call from the heavenly Father on Saturday, April 28, 2018. His strength, tenacity, love and warmth will leave fond memories in our minds. Michael would want us to remember his life with the same intensity that he embraced it. We will greatly miss him; however, there is comfort knowing that our heavenly Father has called His good faithful servant home from a job well done. Michael attended and graduated from Bishop McNamara Catholic School. Shortly after graduating he entered into the United States Army. He retired from the Army after 20 years of honorable service to his country. He began a second career as a civilian working as a procurement specialist with The National Institute of Health (NIH) and later worked at The Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) where he retired shortly before he was called home to be with the Lord. He is survived by his loving mother, Geraldine Theresa Mitchell; sister, Jocelyn Theresa Mitchell; two brothers, Richard Anthony Mitchell, Jr., and David Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
