Michael Henry Yourishin

Michael Henry Yourishin of Dunkirk, MD, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at the age of 72. He was born on December 28, 1946 in Hazleton, PA to Leona Yourishin. Michael was a veteran of the United States Army. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and his Masters from Bowie State. He taught Special Education for over 30 years at Northern High School, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed basketball, but the time spent with his children and grandchildren were priceless. Michael was the beloved husband of Mary M. [McLaughlin] Yourishin, loving father of Michael J. Yourishin (Suzanna) and Elizabeth Yourishin. He was the devoted grandfather of Catherine and John Yourishin and brother of Theresa Segaria, Patricia Carter, the late Walter and John Yourshin. He is also survived by numerous PA cousins and other family members. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church 1601 West Mount Harmony Road, Owings, MD 20736.
