Michelle Dawn Sanchez

Michelle D. Sanchez, age 53, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She was born August 23, 1966 in Clinton, Maryland, to Emilio Sanchez and Marga Di Agostino. She was a 1984 graduate of Northern High School in Owings, Maryland before beginning her career as an Information Technology Specialist for the federal government. Michelle began her career in 1984 at the Department of the Army and eventually retired in 2019 from the United States Census Bureau. Michelle truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with friends, going to the beach, and spending time with her daughters and granddaughter. She had an uncanny ability to make people smile and feel good about themselves. Michelle is survived by her husband, Ronald Garraway; mother, Marga Di Agostino; brother and sister, Mark Sanchez and Linda Miller; daughters, Hailey Geans and Kelsey Jones; and granddaughter, Sophia Geans. Family, friends and others whose lives Michelle touched are invited to Lee Funeral Home, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm to reminisce, grieve, and to support one another. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens 10155 Ward Road, Dunkirk, MD 20754. NEW GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING VISITATION / SERVICES. - 50 to 75 people max at any given time in Funeral Home. - Limit visitation to 15 minutes in visitation room to allow for others to express their condolences. - Funeral Services in Chapel limited to 70 people with four (4) people per pew. - Masks and six foot social distancing still applies.
