Milton Kenneth Young Sr. 1918 - 2013 Milton Kenneth Young Sr., 94, of Clinton, MD on Monday June 24, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Woonsocket, RI he was a son of the late William and Sarah (Marsten) Young. He was married to the late Genevieve A. (Kinney) Young who passed in 2007. He was a career veteran of the United States Air Force having served in World War II during which time he was taken prisoner by the Japanese. He was a POW for almost four years during which time he was a participant of the now infamous Bataan Death March in the Philippines. He was awarded the Purple Heart with two oak leaf clusters. He was very interested in electronics and he was self taught and became quite good at TV and radio repair. During a time when he was stationed in Kansas he started his own business called Rite Way TV Repair. After retirement from the Air Force he had a distinguished career with the federal government at the Naval Research Lab doing research for submarine communications. He is survived by three children, Janice M. Young, Barbara A. Hardy (Richard), and Kenny Young Jr. (Jean); six grandchildren Jamie, Jessica, Jennifer, Richie, Kristen, and Bryan, four great grandchildren Jace, Marlee, Blake, and Amara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date along with internment in Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
