MIREYA ANTONIA LACHAPELLE NAGY, 86 years old, on March 22, in Manassas, Virginia, after a long illness. Mrs. Nagy was born September 2, 1930, in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survived by her husband of 64 years, Sandor Nagy, of Budapest, Hungary; children Casandra (Fred) Dickinson, Carlos (Sheila) Nagy, Yve Morrell, and Celene (Christopher) Berry; grandchildren Alexa (Richard) Mejias, Stephanie (Jessica) Moreno, Michelle Nagy, Elise Nagy, Ashley Chase, Evan Berry, and Julian Berry; and great grandchildren Katherine Zepeda and Lucas Mejias. Mrs. Nagy enjoyed singing, gardening, reading and writing poetry, cooking, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was for many years an enthusiastic member of the church choir at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Waldorf, MD. As a member of a charity guild at Leisure World, Silver Spring, she also enjoyed sewing dolls for hospitalized children. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity of spirit, and her unending desire to help those less fortunate than herself. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Visitation (10:00 am) and Mass of Christian burial (11:00 am) at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 8908 Old Branch Avenue, Clinton, Maryland.
