Nancy Fitzwater Diggs

Nancy Fitzwater Diggs, age 66 of Glenn Dale, Maryland passed away peacefully on November 13, 2010 at the Mandrin Hospice House, Harwood, Maryland with her family by her side. She is the beloved wife of 41 years of James F. Diggs, Sr and loving mother of James F. Diggs, Jr. Jason F. Diggs and Nora E. Diggs. She is the daughter of Nadine H. Fitzwater and the late C. Ernest Fitzwater. She is also survived by a sister, Lynda Poore, four grandchildren; Jakob Diggs, Jessika Diggs, Joseph Diggs and Kelsey Diggs, many extended family and loving friends.\n \nNancy was Vice President of Philanthropy for Easter Seals when she retired in 2009. She was also involved in her church serving on the Alter Guild, Sunday School, worked on various committees and served as a delegate to to the National Convention. Her hobbies included geneology and quilting and on occasion combining the two, but her greatest joy was being with her family.\n \nFuneral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 13106 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20720 with interment to follow at Southern Memorial Gardens, Dunkirk, MD Memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals Greater Washington-Baltimore Region.
