Nancy Elizabeth Lockhart was born in Washington, DC in 1962 to Carol and the late Charles S. Lockhart. The family settled in Upper Marlboro where Nancy graduated from Douglas High School in 1981.Nancy had a passion for cooking and after graduation went on to get a culinary education in which she pursued a career. She was very proud of her title of Head Chef in the Lowe’s Hotel in Downtown Annapolis as well as at Second Genesis. Nancy also held a job as a dental assistant and worked for various offices in the area.But Nancy’s true love in life was her family; her daughters, Carin and Ashley-lyn and her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading to them, especially from her Bible. She taught them about the classics like Journey and the Eagles.Nancy was a great mother and the girl’s best friend.She is survived by her mother; Carol Lockhart, daughters; Carin Lockhart and Ashley-lyn Allen, siblings; John Lockhart and Susan Schoenly, grandchildren; Christiauna Alton, Joshelynn Coleman, Elisha Coleman, Kevin Burks, Jazmin Burks, Ariel Burks and Destiny Snyder and a host of other loving family and friends. Nancy is preceded in death by her father; Charles S. Lockhart and brother Charles D. Lockhart.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association at www.heart.org
