Nathaniel Clifton Howard, affectionately called “Bubbie”, was born on February 14, 1958 being the youngest of five children with three born to the union of Hugh Howard and Doreatha Lillian Elizabeth (nee Malone) Rowe in Washington, DC and two born to the union of his mother and her first husband, Clarence C. Rowe, Sr. During his younger years, his family lived with his maternal grandmother, Carrie L. (nee Johnson) Malone in Washington, DC. After the death of his mother, Bubbie went to live with his brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Sachiko, in Waldorf, Maryland where he thrived and worked at the Melwood Rehabilitation Center. Bubbie was loved by all, full of life and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family dearly. Two of his favorite musical artists were Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. He could do the "Thriller" dance better than anyone and everyone knew Janet was his wife. When Bubbie spent time with his nieces, nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews, he was the life of the party. He loved his family and the family adored him also. He enjoyed playing pool, writing, watching movies, and walking. Bubbie departed this life and entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 1, 2015. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Marcella E. Rowe, Vernita Howard, and Janice E. Howard. Bubbie leaves to cherish his memories, his brother, Clarence C. Rowe, Jr.(Sachiko); three nieces, Cordetta Rowe, Nakia Abrams (Richard), and Anitra Roy; and two nephews, John Rowe, Sr. (Karen) and Antoine Braxton; a brother-in-law, John Roy; an uncle, Junius Malone, Sr.; two great-nephews, eight great-nieces, and many great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other family members, and friends.
