Nora L. Schultz, “Noreen” on Tuesday November 15, 2016 of Upper Marlboro, Md. Loving Aunt and 2nd Mom of Lawrence P. Magrogan; devoted daughter of the late George H. and Anna Belle Zell; adoring sister of the late John W. Zell, Patricia A. Schoenstein and Rosemary E. Magrogan; dear sister-in-law of Frederick J. Schoenstein; caring Aunt of Patricia A. Saukel and the late John F. Schoenstein; beloved cousin of Sharon L. Walsh; cherished lifelong friend of Barbara Lonigan, Cathy French and Kathy Thorne. Growing up in Washington D.C., Noreen always put family first. She worked at D.C. General Hospital as a Dietician. As her life progressed she became “The Family Caregiver” taking care of her parents and siblings in their times of need during various health crisis. She became a 2nd Mom to Larry after the much too soon death of his Mom Rosemary. He is ever so grateful for her amazing devotion. Noreen was an animal lover. She treated her dogs and cats as family. Though she loved them all, her best buddy was her last dog Rusty. Noreen enjoyed all kinds of sports. Her favorite team was the Washington Redskins. Whether it was at RFK Stadium, Fed Ex Field or in front of her TV, she never missed a game. Hail To The Redskins!!! She was also an avid fan of the Washington Nationals, Washington Capitals, Maryland Terrapins and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. To relax from those exciting games she enjoyed watching The Golden Girls and Judge Judy with her cat Scooby Doo in her lap. In her early years, Noreen would be listening to country music at a table full of hard shell Maryland crabs (lots of pepper) and a cold Natty Boh beer better known as “Mr. One Eye” in her hand. In her later years that changed to a good pizza, lots of Cream of Wheat and her new favorite drink…A Large Mocha Frappe from McDonalds. Noreen enjoyed life and made the lives of everyone around her so much better. She will always be loved, never be out of ours minds and will truly be missed.
