Opal Estep

Opal Estep, beloved wife and friend, passed away on May 7th, 2023 at the age of 79. She was born on February 17th, 1944 in West Virginia to Roy Cook and Cleo Workman. Opal will always be remembered by her husband Roy Estep with whom she shared a beautiful love story.

Opal was known to many as Maxine as she preferred to use her middle name. She attended school in West Virginia before starting her career at Verizon as a Telephone Operator in the Metro Area, where she worked for nearly half a century. Her dedication and hard work were truly remarkable and inspiring to all who knew her.

Opal lived a full life surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly. While her passing is undoubtedly felt deeply by those who knew her best, Opal's legacy continues through the cherished memories of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Opal is survived by her loving husband Roy Estep and her daughter. Her memory will also live on through those closest to her including friends and family. Her father Roy Cook and mother Cleo Workman preceded Opal in death.

Although we mourn the loss of Opal Estep, let us celebrate the life she lived and remember the unforgettable memories we shared with her. May she rest in peace knowing that she is loved deeply by all who knew her.
