Oscar Leon Taylor "Lee"After a long illness, peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2009. Beloved and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather was surrounded by his family. Lee was born in New York, NY June 13, 1932. Graduated from Marion High in Marion, Va and served in the Air Force, stationed in France during the Korean Conflict. His lifelong love of Aviation led to a career at Andrews Air Force Base One as a Civil servant and residing in Clinton, MD. Upon retirement in 1987, he enjoyed time with friends and family doing crossword puzzles and playing golf.Lee was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Wilson Taylor; his mother, Audrey Bales Taylor and step-father , Simon Taylor and two sisters, Frances and Betty Taylor. He also survived by his loving wife, Doris Jean Taylor; his sons, Jeffrey Taylor of Tampa, Florida and David Taylor (Kimberly) of Manassas, VA; four grandchildren, Erin, Darielle, Mitchell and Justin Taylor; brother, Paul Taylor (Mary) of Churchville, MD; his sisters, Judy Mitchell (Ralph) of Sunman, IN, Linda Rosenkrans (Edward) of Havre De Grace, MD; sisters-in-law, Lucretia Corrick (Ray), Christine Vulgamore (Richard) and Patty Corrick. Lee is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Lee was a life member of American Legion Post #259 and also a member of Columbia Moose Lodge #126 in Clinton, MD.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
