Ouida “Shirley” Shirolene Pyles, age 85, of Prince Frederick, MD, passed away on, November 22, 2020, from Covid-19. She was born on December 5, 1934, in Opelika, AL. She was the daughter of the late Dan and Essie Vance; and the wife of the late Homer Ray Pyles. Shirley owned and ran a successful beauty shop for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing games, baking, and reading her Bible. She had a strong connection with God. She was “Nan” / “Nanna” to John Callahan III, Chris Callahan, Lisa Bastarache (Duane), Amanda Sanders (Dereck), Ashley Pyles, Kassidy Pyles, Nicholas Gullotti, Gabrielle Gullotti, Cameron Gullotti (Megan), Liam Pyles, Chad Pyles, James Swann, James D. Pyles, James M. Pyles, Joseph Ouellette, Dillian Kennedy and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sons, James and Wayne Pyles, daughter-in-law, Rose Pyles and son-in-law, John Callahan. She is predeceased by her daughter, Beverly Callahan, son, Charles Pyles and granddaughter, Kimberly Pyles. The family is having a virtual viewing on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, Owings, MD from 2 to 3 pm with a virtual Christian service at 3 pm.
