Patricia A. Lusk

Patricia A. Lusk of Temple Hills died August 12, 2012, Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, 1934, she grew up in Herndon, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Pat graduated from Sibley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing 1956, from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Nursing and from the University of North Carolina in 1966 with a Masters in Public Health Administration. As a Reserve in the US Army Nurse Corp. she served on activity duty in the 1961 Berlin Call Up. She retired from Prince George County Health Department after 34 years of service where she was instrumental in having 2 pieces of legislation passed to protect the elderly. Pat directed programs in Geriatric Evaluation, Nursing Home & Adult Day Care Licensure, Adult Health and Cancer Prevention. She is survived by a niece Shannon Poffenbarger, 3 nephews Patrick, Michael & Sean Poffenbarger and 2 half sisters Barbara Burns and Judie Sanders.
