Patricia Murrey

December 22, 1965 — October 13, 2016

Reflections on the Life of Patricia Ann Moore-Murrey A Time to be Born to Love and to Live Patricia was born on December 22, 1965, in Alexandria, Virginia to the late John F. Moore and Patsy Griffin Moore. She attended Mt. Vernon Elementary School and graduated from TC. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. After completing high school, she attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. During this period, Patricia met, fell in love, and married Randy Clarence Murrey of Pennsylvania. Initially they resided in Alexandria, Virginia and later moved to Clinton, Maryland where they raised five children (Tatzteana, Randall, Mischa, Malisa, and Isaiah). They were blessed with seven grandchildren (Amora, Amari, Alijah, Roxi, Samson, Armani, and Tre). Patricia was a dedicated and well respected professional. Her last position, for more than ten years, was Director of Operations for Petroleum Marketers Association in Rosslyn, Virginia. She received numerous awards and recognitions at PMAA, and traveled a great deal; many times accompanied by her mother, the late Patsy Moore. She was fluent in Spanish and had basic German speaking skills. Patricia lived life to the fullest and extended unconditional love, devotion, and commitment to her husband of more than 25 years, children, grandchildren, siblings, and the community. Although she had been ill for many years, she never complained and always kept a smile on her face. She saw the good in people and encouraged others to be the best they could be. A Time to Serve God Patricia accepted Christ as her personal savior at a young age and later attended Outreach Deliverance Center, in Alexandria, Virginia for many years with her husband, the late Randy Murrey. They later joined The Upper Room Fellowship Church in Clinton, Maryland. She loved reading her bible, fellowshipping with her church family, participating in missionary work: feeding the homeless and taking care of the elderly. Although Patricia was very shy, she sang on the praise team. Her singing voice was anointed as she loved to sing for the Lord. She was a true testament of her unwavering faith. A Time to Rest On Thursday, October 13, 2016, Patricia heard and accepted her heavenly father’s call to come home. God sent his angels and she went peacefully and quietly to be with Him. She was at the Virginia Hospital Center at the time of her passing. A Time to Remember To cherish her memory, Patricia leaves her five children; Tatzteana Moore Wright (Anttwon), Randall Moore (Brittany), Mischa Murrey, Malisa Murrey, and Isaiah Murrey. She also leaves grandchildren: Amora Wright, Amorie Wright, Alijah Wright, Roxie Moore, Samson Moore, Armani Dansby, Tre Dansby. She leaves to mourn sisters Tina Moore Carroll (George), Sharon Moore, brother Kenneth Moore; a host of other relatives and friends.
