Paul Michael Edinger

July 9, 1964 — November 17, 2024

Paul was born in Washington, D.C. on July 9, 1964, to Patricia Mae Ruleman and Frank Michael Edinger. He was the oldest of three children, his siblings Karen and Scott.

During his childhood, Paul enjoyed playing baseball, boxing, golfing, jamming out to '80s rock, and driving his '76 Camaro as any wreckless teenager would have.

During the fall of 1981, he met his wife, Loren Dietrich, in which they would share 38 years of marriage together. Together, Paul and Loren welcomed three children into the world: Megan, Alexander and Marlee.

In his later years, Paul spent his time traveling, building quality memories with friends while fishing, golfing, and camping. He was a passionate Commanders Football fan, where his vibrant cheers could be heard across the neighborhood. Much like his father with him, he would extend his passion for sports into his children. He helped coach many of their sports teams and would cheer with them on Sunday afternoons as football echoed throughout the house. Paul was truly one who lived life to the fullest, never missing an opportunity to do something he had not done before and share it with his family.

Paul was a dedicated husband and father, a Grade-A family man who loved his wife and children unconditionally. His love extended beyond his family as he always embraced new friends into his life, immediately welcoming them as if they were family all along. He would give you the shirt off his back if asked of and would brighten anyone's day with his unfiltered sense of humor.

On November 17th, 2024, Paul passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family listening to his favorite 80's rock music. Paul was an exceptional human being. We were reminded of this during the final days of his life as many gathered to share untold stories of the laughter and joy he brought to so many. Paul will be missed by many, but his love will remain with us forever.
