Paul Douglas McDaniel, loving husband and father, passed peacefully into eternal rest March 21, 2019, at the age of 83, after a long illness resulting from complications due to congestive heart failure and a stroke in 2013, at Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital. Paul was born on June 26, 1935 in Lynch, Kentucky, to the late David Blanch McDaniel and Virgin Edith (Smith) McDaniel. He was predeceased by his 4 brothers, Everett, Russell, David A., Leland M., and 3 sisters, Ruth, Doloris, Jewel, and his first wife, Kazuko (June) McDaniel. Paul is survived by his wife of 33 years, Woo Sun McDaniel, his children, Linda Crossley, Paul (Tony) McDaniel, and Mickey McDaniel, and including nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Up until his illness, Paul served in the U.S. Air Force For 29 years, and then as a civil servant in the Department of Defense until the age of 78. Paul’s hobbies and interests centered around just about any sports, with baseball as his favorite. The family would like to thank for the wonderful help and care given by the Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital’s doctors and nurses. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
