Peggy Ann Gordon Peggy Ann Gordon, 53, of Sunderland, MD, died on Sunday, January 7, 2007, at her home with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Walter Gordon; children, Michele Lynn Gordon and Melisa Ann Cherry; son-in-law, Donald Cherry; granddaughter, Taylor Cherry; sister Rita Stephens of Owings, MD and brother Donald Bruce Sewell. Peggy is predeceased in death by her parents, Maggie and Ernest Sewell. Peggy was born January 7, 1954 in Kentucky, daughter of the late Maggie Stamper and Ernest Sewell. Peggy was married to her husband, Joseph for 32 years. They lived in Sunderland for the past 30 years, raised two children, Michele and Melisa. Peggy worked for the Department of Agriculture in Human Resources before retiring. From 1986 to 1996, Peggy owned and operated Miss Shells Cards & Gifts in Dunkirk, MD. Spending time with her family was most important to Peggy.Family will receive friends at the LEE FUNERAL HOME, CALVERT, P.A., 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd., (Rt. 4 at Fowler Rd.) Owings, MD on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm. Service will be held at Trinity U.M.C., 90 Church St. Prince Frederick, MD on Thursday, January 11th, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James H.
