Phillip D. WashingtonOn February 28, 2005, our Father called to rest one of his own, Phillip D. Washington,after having suffered for a short period of time,he is now at rest. Phillip was born in Cantonville, MD on June 18, 1926, to Elhania Washington and Martha Jamison(both now deceased). At age 18, Phillip enlisted in the US Army Air Corps which late became the US Air Force. he spent 30 years in the military receiving numerous awards including a Bronze Star and the Meritorious Service Medal. He retired with a distinguished record as a Senior Master Sergeant. He served 20 additional years with the Federal Government, retiring at Bolling AFB in Washington, DC with may accolades. He received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Prince George's College.His hobbies were fishing, gardening, watching birds, TV and playing the slots.Phillip leaves to mourn him, his wife of twenty-five plus years,Gloria Osborne Washington, stepdaughters Renee, Kathy, Michelle,2 stepsons Endre(Erica) and Quinton; grandfather of 10, Jason, Nate, Jamar(Crystal) Michelle, Quintanna, Endre, Jr, Ebony, Eric and Christina, sisters-in-law Doloris Brown, Sandra Jackson, brother-in-law Charles Brown, nieces; Letitia, Linda; nephews; Marc, Michael (Wanda), Terence, (Carmen), Gene (Ola) and Adam (Colletta) and a host of other relatives and friends.. Friends are invited to visit Thursday, March 10, 2005 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at LEE FUNERAL HOME, INC., Branch Ave. and Coventry Way, Clinton, MD, where funeral follows at 3:00 P.M. Interment with honors will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Friday, March 11, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Attendees must gather at the Administration Building by 10:30 A.M.
