Phyills Harris-Cole of Fort Washington, MD was born on November 14, 1955 and transitioned peacefully on March 27, 2023.

Phyllis was born on November 14, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA at Germantown Hospital. She was born to the Late Clifford Harris and Naomi Harris of Forest City, NC.

Phyllis spent her early childhood life in North Carolina before returning home to Philadelphia, PA where she graduated from Philadelphia School for Girls in 1973. Phyllis migrated down to the DMV area where she settled in and built her life. She worked various jobs to include her final career at the Prince George’s County Board of Education where she retired from after 30 years of service in 2016 as a bus lot foreman. While working for the Prince George’s county Board of Education, she met her husband John F. Cole Jr. in 1997 whom she married in 1999. Phyllis was a very genuine, fair and straight forward person with a heart of gold. She would help, teach and educate anyone that she could. She loved her family and friends to her core. Phyllis also loved doing home improvement/hobby work in her free time. 

Phyllis is preceded in death by her father Clifford Harris, her brothers Francis & Ronald as well as her son Antonio Sesker.

She is survived by her mother Naomi Harris, her husband John F. Cole Jr., her sons Jason Roberts Clifford Harris, Damien Moore & John F. Cole III. She also leaves behind her brother Timothy Harris and sister Leslie Owens along with Seven sisters in-law and Six brothers in-law and many nieces and nephews.
