Phyllis E. Wyvill Phyllis Esaley Wyvill, 79, well-respected nurse and devoted mother of 10 children, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 after battling cancer. The beloved wife of the late Charles Joseph Wyvill, Jr. and daughter of the late LeRoy Swartz and Grace Loretta (Sheaffer) Esaley, she was born February 12, 1933 in Red Lion, PA. Mrs. Wyvill is remembered for being an exemplary nurse, a modest mother of 10 children, and a tireless member of both the St. Mary's Ladies Guild and the church choir. She enjoyed singing and performing in a number of parish plays over the years. She is survived by nine children, 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters and many friends. Her children include Cheryl W. Lemaire and her husband Gary of Bowie, MD; Anita E. Coleman and her husband Don of Laurel, MD; Loretta W. McMurtrie and her husband Ted of Las Vegas, NV; Kathleen W. Edelen and her husband Joe of Upper Marlboro, MD; Jeffrey P. Wyvill and his wife Kathy of Upper Marlboro, MD; Anthony J. Wyvill and his wife Ann of Hollywood, MD; Mark E. Wyvill and his wife Dawn of Elkton, VA; Steven A. Wyvill of Upper Marlboro, MD; John C. Wyvill and his wife Maureen of Shady Side, MD; and the late Patricia W. Hayes and her surviving husband Steve of Upper Marlboro, MD. Her siblings include Lois E. Colburn and her husband Don of Westchester, OH; Carol A. Steger and her husband Jim of Greensboro, NC; the late Joyce E. Shaner and her late husband Bill of Hanover, PA; and the late Robert J. Esaley and his surviving wife Shirley of Hanover, PA. Viewings will be held on Sunday, June 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road (Branch Ave. & Coventry Way), Clinton, MD 20735. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 4 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 14908 Main Street, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
