Ralph Wiley Pearce,\n \nBeloved husband of Mary Pearce, father of Mary Elizabeth Johnson (Derrick), and Sarah Marie Pearce, and first time grandfather of Derrick Anthony Johnson, went home to our Lord on Friday, September 18, 2009.\n \nBorn August 9, 1949, Ralph was in the Marine Corps in Vietnam, the Army, and retired from the DCANG at Andrews Air Force Base in 1993 after proudly serving 24 years in the Armed Services.\n \nIn addition to his wife and daughters, he is survived by his brother Charles (TJ) Detz, his brother & sister in law John Limbaugh (Joy) and Sandy Kebler (John), a host of nephews & nieces, and many friends.\n \nRalph's life was full of occupations and interests. In addition to the military, he was a cook & a caterer, home remodeler, small package delivery specialist, vending machine franchise operator, and a legal document process server. He filled his "free time" with home improvement projects and volunteer activities, including chaperoning Boy Scout events, assisting his many friends with any type of project and with their children's sports activities. Ralph never said "no" to anyone that needed him. He will always be remembered as a kind soul who with friendly advice, a man who never let his friends down, and a loving husband and father who always put his family before himself.\n \nHe enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, gardening, weekend getaways with friends and family, working on projects in yard, remodeling his home, and his annual trip to Cancun, Mexico which he geared up for all year long.
