Las Vegas resident Raymond Robert “Bob” Baker Jr. originally of Washington DC passed away at the age of 78 on the morning of April 28, 2014. He was born on January 30, 1936 in our nation’s capitol to Ruby Alice Gibson and Raymond Robert Baker Sr. A graduate of St. John’s College High School he proudly served six years in the Army National Guard followed by a life long career in the Federal Government. Bob enjoyed competing in pistol competitions, auto rallies, competitive bowling, was an avid golfer and as a member of the S.C.C.A was naturally a big fan of NASCAR. As the son of a minstrel musician he had a natural born gift for music: most notably classic country and 50’s Rock n Roll and was very fond of singing, harmonizing, and playing the organ. He is preceded in death by his step son Thomas Eugene Hoffer and survived by his daughter Melissa Lynn Baker, son-in-law Adrian Zmed, stepson Rocky Alan Hoffer, stepdaughter Carrie Rae Winsor, brother Richard Stanley Baker,...
